The Northeasterners have developed a new state-of-the-art website to help service our membership and provide an updated view of our organization to the public! Increasing Northeasterners’ online presence has been a goal for many years with a first attempt to launch a site in 2014. Many lessons were learned from that first initiative that were applied to this experience. Our new website reflects the Northeasterner brand of friendship and sisterhood while serving as a functioning tool for documents, convention information, convention registration, news and communications, archive data, and a searchable membership directory.
The Website Committee appreciated the professionalism and expert know-how of our selected vendor, Selland Technologies and thank Ben Selland for his leadership. We enjoyed working with the team and send a huge shout out of praise to Ebony Addison for her kind spirit and steadfast patience in getting all of our ideas incorporated into the web pages.
A million thanks to National President Felicia Davis, our National Officers, Chapter Presidents, and members for their support of this important initiative! Special thanks go to National Corresponding Secretary Valerie Butler for her dedicated work on the Membership Directory and National Treasurer Linda Haley for the assistance with payment processing features.
The Website Committee began work in December 2020, creating an RFP, reviewing and selecting a vendor, designing a site map, gathering documents, pictures, and videos to populate the website, meeting weekly with the vendor team, and incorporating functionality for chapter assessment payment and convention registration.
We are over-the-moon excited to launch this website! May it effectively serve our membership for many years to come.
